This course builds a strong foundation in the Bioclear Method and an understanding of the full range of posterior Bioclear restorations.

The posterior course introduces Bioclear Class II, “Calla Lily”, and Overlay cavity preparation designs with compression-based preparations. The course also includes the management of cracked and fractured teeth, and deep subgingival restorations. Delegates practice all applications of the Bioclear Method during intensive, hands-on exercises that simulate posterior restorations.

Course Breakdown
  • New science of strong posterior restorations and teeth
  • Marginal design and prevention of white lines or visible margins in composites
  • Minimally invasive Clark Class II restoration with injection molding
  • Anatomic Clark matrix selection and adaption
  • Calla Lily preparation – a tooth reinforcing preparation
  • Achieving rock solid contacts with rounded, floss friendly embrasures.
  • Rock Star 2 step polish
  • Minimally invasive Clark Class II restoration with injection molding
  • Treatment of the adjacent tooth using the Opportunistic Class II cavity

Complete Course Overview

Bioclear’s Core Posterior course builds a strong foundation in the Bioclear Method. Delegates will learn the Five Pillars of the Bioclear Method, which are essential for long-lasting, predictable Bioclear restorations. The Core Posterior course introduces Bioclear Class II and “Calla Lily” cavity preparation designs, as well as engineering principles used in the design of new non-retentive compression-based preparations.

Delegates learn problem solving as they collaboratively practice all relevant applications of the Bioclear Method during intensive, hands-on exercises that simulate posterior restorations, including Direct Overlays/Cuspal Protection.

The course utilizes HeatSync heaters, 3M Filtek composite materials with different types of Bioclear Matrices.
